"My wife Jesse and I have created MOUNTAIN SKILLZ with MATT ENTZ LLC to share our passion for mountain snowmobiling. There is so much more to enjoying snowmobiling than just riding a sled. Our goal is to provide you with the information, knowledge, and techniques to have the safest, best, and most fun mountain riding experience possible. A successful day of riding is a safe day of riding. In my 20+ years of mountain snowmobiling, I have gained valuable information both on and off the snow. I'm very excited for the opportunity to share this knowledge and experience with YOU!" -Matt Entz
MOUNTAIN SKILLZ with MATT ENTZ is here to provide you with information and instruction to be prepared for a successful mountain snowmobiling experience. This starts with an understanding and base of avalanche safety. Partnered with The Wolf Creek Avalanche School for a third winter, we offer a limited number of snowmobile oriented Intro to Avalanche Safety courses. All details will be available soon for all other MOUNTAIN SKILLZ workshops. At MOUNTAIN SKILLZ we stress reading and understanding the daily avalanche forecast and bulletin along with the local weather forecast. All students are required to carry proper avalanche gear(properly functioning beacon, shovel, and probe) which we can provide for daily use thanks to our friends at BCA. Throughout each day, students will evaluate snow conditions and terrain, practice proper technique with avalanche gear, and practice safe travel management. We also focus on improving our students riding skills and technique on an individual basis. In one day to multi-day classes, you will have the opportunity to learn and apply proper technique for a wide variety of mountain riding disciplines including sidehilling, tree navigation, powder turns, climbing, turning out, jumping, getting unstuck, and much more. Whether you are a beginner, experienced veteran, or anywhere in between we are dedicated to helping you learn and improve. With "MOUNTAIN SKILLZ" you will have a new-found confidence in your preparation, decision making, awareness, and riding abilities resulting in a safe mountain snowmobiling future!
